Dearest Paul
 
I went to the door today and the postman delivered a partridge in a pear
tree. What a delightful gift. I couldn’t have been more surprised.

I just found the WHOLE song of Grandma’s Lye Soap.  I had forgotten about the first part – “It’s In the Book”.  I remember – I was in nurses training – in 1952.  It was playing on the radio all the time.
